Presence

The Met Gala has transcended time. It's been around for decades and looked unstoppable. Nothing could touch or attempt to break it. In the past two decades, it has grown. More influence than ever. Public figures impatient to be invited. The guest list growing every year. Paparazzis standing by for the best picture is unequivocal.

Presence it has. The Met is also known as the fashion event of the year. The event where spectacle is provided. Couture is present. Visibility is remarkable. All eyes are on the first Monday of May. Fashionistas waiting to see what their favorites is going to wear. The Met Gala is present. It is visible. It has transcended time. It has presence.

Presence is definitely key to any successful event. Knowing when, where and how to appear has certainly help the image of the ball and the idea of exclusivity. It makes the gala seem unbreakable, untouchable. A question still remains: Can Presence alone transcend time? Will the Met Gala continue to succeed with time using its influential presence?

Endurance

To succeed in everything, we have learned from a young age that we need consistency and endurance. Endurance has it appears is all about perseverance. Knowing when to keep going, when to evaluate, when to stop. Most importantly, endurance is about knowing when to adjust, pivot, or make small changes.

The Met Gala has certainly successfully accomplished a few of those. It kept going, it evaluated. It also adjusted as it is clearly seen today. The event went from being completely unattainable to having a name allows entrance. What used to make it so unique and endured time appears to no longer be part of the equation.

An event that used to be heavily convoited which is weirdly enough what created its charm and endurance has recently pivoted. Is having a well known name or being public figure the only requirement to be invited in this day and age?

Extension

While the event has evolved with time, it has also adapted to time. Some might even say, it has adapted too much. To the point of losing its essence? Maybe. That's a clear possibility. As years pass by, the event's visibility keeps growing which is undeniable. But as for its influence? It remains to be seen.

Time will tell has been an expression used time and time again when change cannot properly be justified. It's happening, it's being noticed and talked about, but it appears that no one really knows where it's coming from or better yet, what the next step will be.

The Met Gala, has been present and has transcended time, eras, and style. It endured all changes thrown and faced adversities. However, in modern days, it seems to have lost the plot. A day so advanced and technology heavy, newscyles no longer dictate public opinions. Can the Met Gala endure the current day and age?

Conclusion

An event that has transcended time and endured challenges, controversies, it now looks like it has somewhat lost the public. Can it gain the public trust back? Will taste ever return as the main criteria to attend?
